There are local, regional and national agencies and organizations that offer a wide range of services ranging from educational support, family support, and community outreach. National Association of the Deaf - National group established in 1880, providing information and advocacy for Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Deaf-blind individuals. Lots of great information.
IMPACT - Independently Merging Parents Associations of California, an organization for parents of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children
CAL-ED - California Educators of the Deaf, professional organization for educators of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students
CAID - Council of American Instructors of the Deaf, an organization for teachers, administrators, educational interpreters and others concerned with the education of the deaf.
