Deaf Education: A Parents' Guide
A message
from the creator:
First I would like to thank the many visitors and
supporters of this website. It has
been a long time since this website has undergone an update. In addition to updating some of the
links and other information, I have also given this page a face lift in its
design. I hope that those
returning to this site enjoy the changes. Please be patient with me as I am continuing to correct some
email and other links.
For those first time visitors, WELCOME!!!
About this site:
The purpose of this website is an attempt to serve as
a guide and provide information to parents and others with regard to issues
related to deafness, the education of the deaf, and Deaf culture. This guide is
not to be used as sole resource for information, but merely a starting point for
further inquiry into other sources. The issues presented here are meant to
inform in an unbiased way the various aspects of deaf education. I have attempted
to limit my bias by including resources to other points of view that I am less
qualified to speak on the behalf of. It is my sincere hope that you find the information
or a link to the information that you seek. If you do not see it here or have a resource
you feel should be included on this site, please feel free to contact me.
